DALLAS, June 11 /PRNewswire/—Viewzi Inc. (http://www.viewzi.com) this week launched a new type of search engine, providing Internet users a way to visually experience the best results from top search sites and other online content sources making search more fun.
Viewzi uses proprietary intelligence that can source information from top online sites, providing users only the most relevant results. Viewzi then works behind the scenes to organize those results into views, uniquely designed to showcase different types of content such as music, video and photos as well as topics including news, weather, shopping, and gadgets—all in an a highly interactive and visual way.
Today, Viewzi provides sixteen different views to organize search results from hundreds of different online sources. The View Mix feature allows users to quickly slide views left and right and select their desired view. The video view, for example, provides instant previews of hundreds of videos from the most popular content sources; the photo-album style interface allows users to move and shuffle photo results around on the page; and the MP3 view will pull playable song samples from various online music sources.
Viewzi plans to develop additional views on an ongoing basis. In addition, Viewzi plans to leverage its open API (application programming interface) to enlist a global community of developers to author more unique views.
“Viewzi presents the right data in the right way,” said Brandon Cotter, Chief Viewzer. “The Internet has changed dramatically, but from the user’s perspective, search has not fundamentally changed in 10 years. Our goal is to provide users with a unique and engaging way to discover information. Search used to be boring—we want to make it a bit more fun.”

Congratulations on the launch. I’m enjoying the application so far.
Here’s a quick bug report: recipes from myrecipes.com are not displaying when clicked. Looks like an ampersand is not being passed.
Cheers, you’re in my bookmarks.
